Submissions
Submission information:
Let The Elephants Dance opens its arms to many forms of performance art! Whether you have graced our stages before, or you want to apply for the first time - ALL applicants are reviewed carefully and thoughtfully to make the most inspiring show possible. We are committed to keeping our events diverse and inclusive. It is of great importance and priority to give a safe space and platform to LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC communities.
Dance is our main focus, however we have also had many talented signers and poets join the stage over the years and new ideas are always welcome!
There is no specific theme for the show and you have full creative freedom in your proposals, however they do have to be detailed quite clearly on your submission form to help the selection process go as smoothly as possible. If your piece requires a trigger warning, please state this in your description as this is extremely important for our audience and fellow performers.
If mental health is something you are passionate about, if you have a story you want to tell, then this is something you could be a part of!

Please note:
-
This event is open to all ages, however mature subject matter is talked about at the event, in a healthy and very important way - if you have younger dancers in your piece it is your responsibility to make sure they are aware of what the event represents.
-
A professional level for performance and work ethic is expected.

All applications will be reviewed, unfortunately not all will be accepted into this year's event. There are a lot of factors that go into the decisions process. Please do not be discouraged, and reapply the following year!
